Healthy Bircher Muesli Recipe
This is a super easy, healthy recipe that you can make the night before and quickly finish off in the morning.
There are so many options with bircher and so you can play around and add whatever you like before serving.
Ingredients
Make 3-4 serves
1 cup rolled oats (organic is best if you can)
Water, almond or coconut milk
2 tablespoons chia seeds
Squeeze of lemon juice
1 apple
Goji berries or cranberries
Pumpkin, sunflower or any other seeds
Flaked almonds or other nuts
1 tablespoon shredded coconut
Cinnamon
Maple syrup/honey
Natural Greek yoghurt (whole fat)
Fruit to serve
Method
- Mix the oats and the chia seeds in a bowl
- Add a squeeze of lemon and a dash of maple syrup or honey
- Cover with almond/coconut milk or just water and soak in the fridge over night
- In the morning, grate in the apple and mix in all the other ingredients that you’d like (You can pick and choose!)
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and top with fruit, mint and yogurt
- Store in the fridge for up to a week
